INFiLED’s Mega LED Screen for Mégarex Bowling and ADDE

Overview

In December 2025, Mégarex in Haguenau, France, set out to redefine the indoor bowling experience for its customers. Instead of a simple facelift, it made a strategic jump into immersive digital entertainment.

In collaboration with AV systems integrator ADDE and our local INFiLED team, it installed a high-impact 28-meter LED screen, built from our robust and flexible MV Series.  The packed-with-pixels screen was designed to surround the players with a visual and sonic feast, transforming their games into an almost cinematic experience.

About ADDE

Starting as a family-run independent company back in 1981, ADDE has grown to be one of France’s leading cinema equipment professionals, known internationally for the kind of support and technical mastery that keeps cinemas across France operating 24/7.

 The Vision: Visuals To Bowl Them Over

The Mégarex at Haguenau, France, is the town’s epicenter for entertainment. It’s packed with fun stuff to do, such as megascreens and oh-so-comfy seats for film buffs; a 16-lane fluorescent bowling alley; a cute bar for that post-bowling thirst; an old-school billiards room; and the latest in video games.

But Mégarex wanted to be more than the go-to place for good times. Its strategic direction was to differentiate its bowling offer from its competitors by amplifying the bowling experience for customers of all ages.  Guided by visual maestros ADDE, it envisioned a dynamic, visually immersive experience for players that would:

• Enhance the excitement, pace and memorability of customer visits.
• Have the control and flexibility to build different atmospheres and “feels” that could shift, depending on the time of day, type of event or type of customer. It wanted the choice to create high-energy animations for peak times; bright, happy atmospheres for family sessions; clean scoring visuals for league nights; or refined, customized visual moods for private events. And that was just for starters.
• Double as a branding and marketing tool.
• Look incredible every day for at least the next ten years. No short-term marketing gimmick, this.

 The Challenge: Ambitious LED Screen, Fast Turnaround

A chunky strategic vision usually comes with its share of challenges, and this project was no exception. Installing a 28-meter LED display inside a bustling entertainment hub is no mean feat. Long installation times means less revenue for Mégarex and disruption for customers, and no-one wanted that. No-one.

For a quick-but-perfect installation, it needed:

• Tight planning and co-ordination.
• Installation speed and precision for minimal downtime and fast capitalization on the new-look lanes.
• Trusted installation standards that wouldn’t compromise safety.
• A robust, reliable, low-maintenance LED screen that performed in all lighting conditions and was capable of withstanding structural vibration. And, potentially, a poorly-aimed bowling ball.

The Solution: INFiLED’s MV Series

To create Mégarex’ visual masterpiece, ADDE designed a stunningly immersive LED display that stretched an impressive 28 meters, built from INFiLED’s MV Series panels. The MV Series worked for this space because of:

• High pixel density: It delivered an almost native 8K resolution (7168 × 512 pixels) for extreme sharpness at massive scale. No interpolation blur, no fuzzy “what-the-heck-is-that?” images for the Mégarex bowling punters. Just fine detail, clean text and crisp graphics all round.
• High brightness: Brightness of over 1,000 nits meant excellent visibility.  Throw in a high refresh rate and high contrast and you’re looking at perfect visuals, whatever the lighting conditions.
• Full control to flex the visuals to match the desired atmosphere.
• Aluminum frames, rather than the conventional magnesium, for enhanced durability and stability.
• Easy maintenance: Power and data units are separate and easily removable (and put-back-inable), and the universal LED modules are standardized and interchangeable for quick servicing.
• Longevity: It was operationally optimized to avoid maxing out capacity, which will help to extend the screen’s lifespan.
• Solid 7-year warranty to maximize client confidence in the screen’s reliability and staying power.

But, of course, a successful project is never just about the excellence of the product and the creativity of the AV team. Installing a massive screen safely in a busy public space is always going to test the teamwork of client, creator and provider.

The fairy dust sprinkled on this project was the robust groundwork prior to the installation, which included deep consultation and precision planning.

ADDE’s structural expertise, combined with INFiLED’s technical support and Mégarex’ excellent preparation, allowed the entire installation to be done and dusted in only three days. 

The Result: Bowling Reimagined

Mégarex can now boast a fully immersive, dynamic customer experience that sets it apart in the super-competitive bowling industry. It can also use the screen to adapt to new audiences, promotions and events, drawing in more customers and ramping up revenue.
