1. Immersive Media & Production – A New Standard for Engaging Content
When it comes to content, audience expectations continue to skyrocket. Static images are a thing of the past; for true engagement, content must be immersive, dynamic and highly personalised, driven by data and seamlessly integrated across platforms.
In this environment, virtual production and extended reality (XR) studio spaces are having their day. They’re fundamentally transforming how live-event broadcasters connect with their audiences, moving from experimental setups to essential production infrastructure.
Leveraging immersive LED XR sets and virtual windows, broadcasters can now deliver highly interactive and visually captivating content for major events, such as the Olympics or UEFA European Championship.
The partnership between INFiLED’s XR Virtual Production STUDIO Series and Disguise’s creative and technical services exemplifies this. Our modular LED systems are specifically designed for broadcast and XR environments with ultra-low latency and exceptional refresh rates.
You also get the creative flexibility of LED wall backgrounds, ceilings and floors, ones that outperform traditional green screen platforms for actors for virtual production.
Complementing the hardware is Disguise’s end-to-end solutions. Their builds boast fully immersive real-time experiences that engage audiences on a multisensory level. A highlight is their RenderStream technology that synchronises pixel-perfect visuals across our expansive LED volumes. This tech seamlessly blends physical and virtual worlds so you can meet the rising demands of sophisticated storytelling in the modern broadcasting world.

2. Real-Time & High-Performance Workflows – Enabling Seamless Content Delivery
Another key IBC2025 industry trend is the growing importance of ultra-low latency streaming and real-time synchronization, both critical for live events and dynamic content delivery. As remote and cloud-enabled production becomes the norm, broadcasters require workflows that maintain the highest standards of quality, reliability and speed. These workflows span diverse applications ranging from live sports and streaming to enterprise communications.
Thankfully, INFiLED’s diverse product portfolio more than meets these demands, supporting an expanded media ecosystem that includes broadcast studios, live venues, streaming platforms, and enterprise environments.
The MC and DFmk2 Series deliver reliable, high-refresh-rate displays designed for live broadcast studios, indoor rentals and large-scale event venues. They offer seamless and uninterrupted content delivery where operational stability and precise timing are essential to successful event coverage.
Meanwhile, the STUDIO Series specifically caters to immersive virtual production and extended reality studios. These modular LED walls feature ultra-low scan rates, superior colour accuracy and low-reflective surfaces that outperform traditional green screens. They’re ideal for environments that demand flexibility, realistic output, real-time camera tracking and interactive content editing.

3. Enterprise Crossover & New Markets – Broadcast Quality, Meet Corporate Communications
IBC 2025 showcased the accelerating crossover between broadcast and enterprise AV, with a growing number of AV buyers attending the show. They launched initiatives such as the AV Speed Pitch event, in partnership with the AV User Group, which brought together enterprise buyers from leading companies including Barclays, AstraZeneca and WPP.
It’s clear there’s a huge demand for broadcast-quality video solutions beyond traditional media, ones that can deliver enhanced digital communications and live streaming. For many businesses, these are no longer ‘nice-to-haves’; they’re a core part of operations.
An example is the increasing use of video to communicate messages across a wide variety of spaces, from internal town halls and product launches, to immersive training and experiential marketing. It’s naturally leading to a stronger demand for high-quality, reliable and broadcast-standard LED products, such as our WP Series.

4. Sustainability & Responsibility – A Green Tech Future
Earlier this year, we highlighted just how important sustainability is within the industry and that theme continued at IBC 2025. Attendees at our booth showed great interest in our proprietary technologies like ColdLED, which offers enhanced energy efficiency, reduced heat generation, decreases power consumption up to 50%, leading to extended display lifespans, while maintaining consistent brightness and colour fidelity.
In a world where reducing environmental impact is a must, such tech is an essential. It not only helps you keep up with your corporate social responsibility goals, but also achieve long-term cost savings thanks to reduced energy consumption.

5. Strategic Partnerships and Future-Ready Workforce Development
IBC 2025 brought home the message that partnerships are absolutely crucial for sustained growth in the broadcast world – especially as the space is undergoing a period of accelerated change. With technology advancing so quickly and uncertainties like tariffs, it’s clear no one can do it alone.
As such, industry leaders at the event held fast to the sentiment – one we wholly agree with – that working together is what helps everyone keep pace.
Workforce development is a big part of this, so it’s perhaps not surprising the IBC Talent Programm proved so popular, with sessions focused on mentoring, career pathways and practical skills development.
At our roundtable discussion at the INFiLED booth, Dan Duran from RED camera emphasized that workforce development offers more than just improved skills. By training your staff and ensuring they thoroughly understand and properly utilise AV technologies, you can maximise your technology investments and achieve greater cost efficiency.
Here at INFiLED, we’re big proponents of helping AV professionals prepare for technological evolution, ensuring human expertise aligns with advancing hardware innovation. That’s why we recently launched our ICE training program.

6. Artificial Intelligence – Complementary, Not Competitive
A provocative question emerging from IBC 2025 discussions is: Will AI replace virtual production? The industry consensus, reflected in INFiLED’s perspective, is a definitive no.
While there is much AI can do in the broadcasting world, such as media indexing and improving content discovery times, it will always need to work alongside hardware like LED volumes for immersive virtual production environments. Only these technologies can provide real-time visuals, lighting realism, and true actor immersion on set.
Disguise’s industry talk by Dylan “Broadcast Reimagined: Crafting Immersive Fan Experiences” at the INFiLED stage perfectly illustrated AI’s complementary – not competitive – role, showcasing how software and LED hardware combine to create truly interactive and immersive broadcast experiences.

Our roundtable session, “Trends in XR, Virtual Production & Broadcast: What’s Next?”, brought together experts including Cesar Caceres from Brompton, INFiLED’s Pedro Lopez Prada, Dan Duran from RED, and Disguises’ Nelson Pequeno.
While they acknowledged AI’s positive impact on workflow and productivity, all agreed that AI can be overhyped, and that real-world results depend on skilled people harnessing technology … not just the technology itself.
Echoing this sentiment, visitors interviewed at the INFiLED booth were unanimous – AI can facilitate and accelerate workflows but will not replace the core work of virtual production. It seems the future of immersive media is about balance and collaboration between human expertise and technological innovation.
