How INFiLED’s LED Screen Flexibility Made a Corporate Village More Villagey

Overview
Our end client, a Portland, Oregon-based athletic brand, wanted to make a campus community space more engaging and multi-functional. We worked with their technology partner For Good & Company to install a flexible 30’ x 6’(9.1 m x 1.8 m) LED wall from our DBmk2 Series. It could be quickly and easily separated into three sections for everyday use, or brought together as one big statement wall for special events, helping to drive a real community feel.
About For Good & Company
Our client For Good & Company is BCorp certified, it’s an independent creative agency that really understands the power of community. With decades of experience and a cohort bursting with talent, it’s helped brands make impacts that matter.
The Vision: A More Villagey Village
Our end client is a forward-thinking athletic brand that emphasizes collaboration and sees itself as a global village. Its campus, home to roughly 2,000 people, has a unique “village” culture where employees regularly gather for team meetings, presentations, creative daydreaming, socials, and other diverse events.
Part of this common space is called “the intersection” and serves as a large hub, a multi-functional space with a cafe and event area and, on special occasions, becomes a great social spot to watch sports. Its purpose was to encourage employees to stay on site and to interact.
The end client wanted to upgrade the area to be more multifunctional, using LED displays to use the space to its fullest potential. The vision was clear: to create a large flexible, modular installation that could transition between daily operations and special events, while providing employees with a dynamic and visually engaging environment.
The Challenge: Strength and Speed
The challenges of designing, installing and maintaining a stunning visual display in an area where change is the only thing that doesn’t change were pretty robust, as you can imagine. For the vision to succeed, the For Good & Co and INFiLED team had to make sure that the chosen LED screen could be:
- Moved, maintained and reconfigured with minimal effort and disruption.
- Configured flexibly and easily for different content types and events.
- Deliver sharp dynamic visuals from all kinds of viewing angles and distances.

The Solution: INFiLED DBmk2 Series
For Good & Company built a custom 30’ x 6’ LED wall, using DB2.6 Lite panels, part of INFiLED’s super-flexible DBmk2 series. For day-to-day operations, the display was configured as three separate LED walls, and, for special events, combined for a wider format display.
The beauty of the DB2.6 Lite is that it’s built for flexibility and reconfiguration: magnetic pre-connections and quick-lock system for a fast and stable setup; a retractable bumper, a buffer-dumper mechanism and stable locking joints in the cabinets to maintain a robust structure in a busy area and when being re-configured; and precise arc-adjustment sliders and adjustable angles for speedy precision curves.
Flexibility wasn’t the only win. The panels have contrast ratio of 10,000:1 keeps colors vivid and image quality super-high, and also come packed with INFiLED’s advanced proprietary LED technologies:
- ArmorLED tech gives LEDs up to ten times the “stickiness” of standard LEDs, which means no LEDs dropping off right in the middle of reconfiguration.
- ColdLED optimizes heat dissipation in lots of different ways including through an energy-efficient IC driver.
- Color & Brightness Shift free (CBSF) tech keeps the color temperature consistent and stable across wide viewing angles.
The Result: An Everyday LED Showstopper
Ease and flexibility of content management was key to the success of this project, and a triple-play content management powered by Novastar VX1000 meant that the end client could now easily update and automate content daily and schedule larger events whenever they wanted.
The end client now has a visually immersive space that fosters collaboration and community, both key to the success of their village values.
